About

Good Tour Channel is a small travel publication about the parts of a trip that happen outside the hotel room: guided tours, time outdoors, and the food and customs that make a place feel different from home.

What you’ll find here

  • Guided tours: how walking tours, day trips and private guides work, and how to pick one that suits your pace and budget.
  • Outdoor adventures: practical starting points for hiking, paddling, snorkeling and wildlife watching.
  • Food & culture: food tours, markets, cooking classes and the etiquette that helps you feel welcome.

How our guides come together

Our articles are researched from official tourism boards, park services, government travel advice and information published by operators. We write for people planning a trip, not for the companies selling one, and we say plainly when something depends on the destination or changes often.

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every article is reviewed and edited before it’s published, and you can read more about that in how we work.

Independent by design

No tour operator, attraction or booking site pays for a place in our guides. Some links may earn us a commission, as explained in our affiliate disclosure, but that never changes what we recommend.
